Showcasing the spiritual essence of modern tea houses, the suspended tea room establishes a high level of spatial distinction between the indoor corridor and courtyard. As if bringing in the sense of movement and leisure from the streets outside, it arouses interest as it raises the question whether guests are sitting or walking inside.

Built in a quiet city corner, the materials utilized take into account the reflection of sound to block external noise, achieving a level of comfort close to one found in a meditative silence. Soft gray fabric and large quantities of fiber pulp were used as materials for the lighting, achieving a sense of relative quiet within the small space.

Handmade paper-fiber chandeliers shed a creamy organic light, harmonizing an overall color. For the floor, Lotus coating has been used: a waterproof, breathable, and environment-friendly material made from raw reservoir sediment. Whitewash: applied on the walls and ceiling, this paint is widely used all over the world since ancient times to protect wall decorations, especially on dyed and oxidized bronze utensils, or on soft and pure calico. Together with the overall tonality (of the space), many peculiarities of each material were added to the details.
